Shallow Inlet

Kaz got up this morning and went for a run along the beach. She came back and said it was a beautiful morning, blue skies and no wind! I decided that it was time I got out there so I went for a 5km (3.1 miles) run as well! It was great, there was quite a few other people walking along the beach on this lovely Saturday morning as well!

We decided to go on another adventure this morning and all got in the car and drove about 5 minutes up the road to Shallow Inlet. It is a lovely place that is exactly as its name sounds - an inlet that is shallow!! It was low tide so we could drive onto the sand around to a point where there is a big sand dune! Spence played in the water for a bit and then we went up and down the sand dune! It was quite steep so we had to help Spence up there but he had so much fun (so did we!!)! We also ran around on the wet sand and jumped in the puddles! This is a photo of Spence and I being airplanes!

We came home, had lunch then Mum and Dad came over to have a bbq tea and stay the night. We also invited our friends, Katie and Damon and their two boys. Spence had a ball playing with the boys, showing them the 'cave' in the back yard and playing games and with his toys! They also gave him a birthday present of a kid's tool set which he loved!
