Marjorie's ramblings

A sight for sore eyes

The next sign of Spring has arrived. The blackthorn blossom is out in some places. It is one of my favourites.

I found this today near the River Tyne at Tyne Green, Hexham. I could not resist using it for today's blip, even though I'd already photographed a magnificent bird feeder (a sort of wooden castle!)

Met my lovely friend, P, at the Manor House, Carterway Heads, for lunch and a long catch up. We stayed for ages. The menu looked great, but the soup was slow and very cool. Replacement soup arrived, this time nice and hot. We indulged in sticky toffee pudding - not good for either of us, but very yummy.

Soon it's University Challenge, then the second part of Waking the Dead.
