Perspective

It's easy to dwell on all the little dissatisfactions of life and fret over trivia when what actually matters is just waiting to kick you in the face. I'm able to sit still and ponder such matters just now because I went to the chiropractor yesterday with a sore neck - a mild dislocation apparently - and the treatment has elevated the pain to something else entirely. Sitting with an ice pack on it, I feel strangely thankful for my blessings, when many others of my direct (and virtual) acquaintance are suffering untold horrors.
