On My Doorstep

Vernier Acuity

This vernier scale belonged to my late brother-in-law. It has his name etched on the back. He was in the Quality Control Department at the Austin in Birmingham. I blipped his iconic Motor Works Pass here.

I wonder who still uses a Vernier Scale and excercises their Vernier Acuity?

I do. It comes in handy when making cardboard boxes, for instance.

I thought I'd obtain the morphometrics of a grape this morning, as you do. What better to use than a Vernier Scale?
