Tuesday: Libya Conference

The London Conference on Libya took place at Lancaster House today.  This demonstration took place at the end of Downing Street and, although vocal, was very peaceful.  

There were a couple of things that I found touching.  One was the guy in the middle holding up a very simple printed sheet saying: 'Libyans thank the international coalition'.  The other was the little group muscling in at the end, telling us not to forget about Darfur.  They are right, the media seem to think that we can only cope with one issue at a time.  Everything that is not sexy, or is old news, doesn't even get a mention anymore.
