Half the World

I had the chance to study AO level 'Study of Art: Architecture' many, many years ago - the year that O levels were being phased out. AO levels were for the Lower Sixth's Wednesday afternoons.

Anyway, we were taught by the flamboyant Deputy Head Mr Thomas, a fantastically camp enthusiast for architecture and art.

He converted me to a love of architecture - he was one of those inspirational teachers. I'm not sure all the class appreciated the subject but then that's how it is sometimes!

Anyway, getting to the point his catchphrase, of sorts was, 'If you don't look up you miss half the world!'. You could argue with his fractions but you get the point.

Hence all the gubbins hanging off the ceiling. We have been advised not to hang stuff off the ceiling. I must have been doing something else when they announced that.

The Big O Day 2 - Life goes on!
