Aegithalos caudatus

A quick blip-and-run.
I was working most of the day, trying to get all the skeleton data in some sort of order to write up the final report.
Just realised recently that the next trip south is happening this week coming, not the week after! Yikes!
Still, it's for a birthday celebration, not another bloody funeral, so there's no way I'm missing it....
I did get out for a half hour walk, before the light went, though

Didn't realise that the longtail is not a True Tit (I can be one, quite often)
Other dialect names include "Barrel Tom" and "Bum Barrel" Although its complete length including tail is up to 15 cm, it's one of the smallest UK birds by weight. They travel in fidgety gangs through the trees, whispering their bubbling silver calls to one another.
