Hail!

Today was a mixture of freezing rain, snow, and hail, the last of which I am sharing with you. This picture was taken mid-afternoon, but now at 8:30 p.m., most of it is gone and the temperature is back up to 40 degrees (F).

Movies of the weekend were:

Sansho the Bailiff (1954) Beautifully filmed Japanese movie set in medieval times.
M (1931) Excellent film, the first about a serial killer and starred Peter Lorre.
Ruggles of Red Gap (1935) Really witty dialogue and very funny.
The Cove (2009) A documentary about dolphin hunting and slaughter in Taiji, Japan.

The Cove won the 2010 Oscar for Best Documentary and it will make you think twice about marine parks as well as the power of the press and who controls it.

Have a good week everyone!
