victorian?

what a plain, desperation-obvious blip, hahaha.

it's been a hectic weekend in our household, but the two days of chaos is finally over!

the construction at our house is done, which means three things:
1) we have a new tv now -- a hd flat-screen that can retract and rotate!
2) we have these lamps pictured above hanging on both sides of our fireplace, so there's finally more light there.
3) the house gets to smell like paint, chemicals, and dust for the next few days...ew.

is it me or do they seem really victorian/old english? oh my parents.
