This Seat Is Reserved

For the cat. Or so the cat thought and I can't blame him. Every day Toby takes up his position in his window-seat in the sitting room (when he isn't asleep on the TV, the rad, the laptop or some strategically dangerous place such as a doorway or stair). However, today I removed him, along with his favourite cat-haired cushion, so that my cousin L could avail of the light for a portrait. L's book (actually the first of a three-book deal) is due soon from Harper Collins and he wanted a jacket photo. He was easy to work with, though it took a little while for him to settle in and unwind. Toby didn't help by leaping above L's head and taking the upper berth (another favourite perch). I think you can clearly see which of them knows his place.
