I took this photo this afternoon at our local dam/lake. I've seen the coots around but has never seen a coot chick before! I managed to capture one as he was getting out of the water - there are three of them - sweet.

It was a very hot day... rain will be very welcome! Maybe I should do the rain-dance and see if it works!
