Soldiers

Another day out today! Hubby and I took the kids to Renfrewshire to visit their Grandpa, and after a nice lunch, we went for a walk in the countryside, and I finally got to see the sculpture of the soldiers on the cycle path between Bridge of Weir and Kilmacolm that the kids visited with their Grandpa before.

They look quite stunning close up - I believe it's a sculpture called 'Lost Seventeenth' by David Kemp, a Cornish sculptor, after a bit of digging on the internet. They've been made out of old gas cylinders amongst other industrial bits and bobs.

Hopefully we've worn the kids out and it'll be a nice quiet evening for us! :-)
