Mrs Fantastic - in fact, Mrs Elgar, wife to Mr Elgar of course. I blip'd her a few weeks back, under A woman's work is never done!, since then she successfully laid a clutch of eggs, I'm not sure how many as her nest is nicely hidden, & a few days ago her eggs hatched & so she's been around the garden collecting worms & insects.

The other day we dug out 10 square metres of soil - going to plant wheat & cornfield annuals, all for nature & Mrs Elgar has been in paradise, catching insects on the top & listening for worms below - every evening when the sun is setting, she's standing on the earth listening & after a few minutes has a beak full of worms!

Tomorrow I shall be ordering my 1Kg sack of live mealworms - they were a great success last year, so expect many live mealworm frenzy feeding pictures to come in the coming weeks! :)
