Liverpool's Malmaison was the first purpose built hotel opened by the chain. Since its "completion" in 2007 the cladding on the outside has been replaced as many times as I have driven past it. And its still not finished. According to their website, this major job is "a nip here, a tuck there". Bet they'd wished there was a handy prison nearby, instead.
