70th Birthday Party

What a beautiful day for Dad's 70th birthday party. His actual birthday isn't for another week, but today was Party Day. Lovely meal at Nuthurst Grange, then tea and petit fours (?sp) in the gardens. The 4 granddaughters made up a "sequence" for Grandad (performed on the helipad!). The older two were doing cartwheels etc, but this was the highlight - L doing the crab while S and A made an arch and little C crawled under L! The sequence ended with them all shouting "HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDAD" which kind of spoiled the serenity of the place...

Did you (women) used to make up sequences with your friends when you were a little girl? I can remember endlessly practicing complicated performances of forward rolls and handstands etc and then making Mum come through and watch us. Oh to be a little one again!
