Gods Shed

Driving along today & saw this. It really caught my eye, St Leonards parish Church in Middleton. Got chatting to a church bloke and apparently the shed is the wooden steeple, added to the spire in 1667, used to be quite common but only 3 survive now in the UK.

Cant wait to go back when its open :)

(thought he was having me on so did internet search & apparently its true! v cool! would have prefered a sunny day but hey ho)
