bandy-netting and elaborate sand-castles

the best, but last, day of the holiday today. we spent the whole afternoon on the beach looking for crabs and wee fish in the rock pools...and beth and daisy built the most spectacular sand-castles st. andrews has ever seen (which even have information videos about their use and construction to accompany them). sand-castles are a serious business dontcha know.

and of course you can't have a day at the beach without going to the ice-cream shop in the way home - janetta's had a queue half way down the street (no joke).

the girls were tired after all that, but we dragged them away from the mighty boosh (again) down to the beach on the bikes. they are ace on their bikes - I really love cycling about in a pack with them... if only meldrum was less hilly...

dougal has been great in the flat - he sits at the window chattering at the birds. I felt bad for taking him away because he hated the car so much, but he's been happy enough since we arrived. little does he know, he's got another two hour journey to look forward to tomorrow...he better not pee on me again.

its been a great wee holiday - thanks ar&ut! xx
