Happy Birthday Uncle Fantastic

Katie's been an absolute star today. We've been to Manchester and back in a day with Granny and Grandad for Uncle Simon's birthday, and she's been brilliant. She stayed awake for most of the journey there and was singing and smiling, she only had a 20 minute catnap.

She was thoroughly delighted to see him, she adores him, and was immediately playing flying, ball kicking and paper ball throwing with him. We went out to a nice restaurant place for lunch and she was going round and round the table, giggling away.

After lunch we found a really beautiful park, with lots of paths and trees and pretties. It was gorgeous and they had a great time chasing the big inflatable ball around and just having a wonderful time. We then all went to Costa Coffee and sat out on the balcony, which she loved. It was all closed in so she could happily wander round.

We set off back and she said bye bye over and over to him, after he'd gone. She fell asleep very very quickly and stayed asleep til 6.30. We stopped at Ikea and she had a run around, ate some food, explored and was full of smiles - she loves Ikea! She fell asleep in the car on the way home and is tucked up in bed.

She's been a star, and we've had a wonderful day sharing Uncle Simon's birthday. Happy birthday, "Little" Bro. xx
