The Curse Of Schierstein

About half the time I go to Schierstein, I forget to put the memory card in the camera. I have no idea how this happens only on Schierstein trips. This means all I have is the internal memory of the camera so I tend to take a few shots and hope one of them is OK.

This is today's Best Shot. It might not look like it but this is an Orange Tip butterfly (and it does have orange tipped wings and they look great). But when I got up close, it went into stroppy mode and would not open it's wings. I thought it might fly off but it didn't - it just sat there. For that kind of belligerence, it deserves its place on Blip.

In other news, I've been given a huge number of Asterix books to read. In German. I'm looking forward to that - it'll be interesting to see how it compares to the English versions that I know.

And tomorrow I must buy another memory card.
