In those halcyon days, long before Beelzebub himself brought us the mobile phone, life was so much less cluttered. You could go days without speaking to anyone if you wanted to. You could breathe.
Of course, there were problems.....a friend of mine on a big day out at a rugby international spent 4 hours waiting outside the the zoo when, in fact, his friend (who had both tickets), had actually said to meet 'at two'.
But you could breathe.
