A slice of Lesley's life

Another world

Travelled the breadth of London today on a sort of unofficial school trip to visit the Titanic Exhibition at the O2. J's class are doing a project on it after the holidays and an organised parent had arranged an outing (not me - amongst other things I managed to get the meeting time wrong, though fortunately we were early rather than late).

Excellent and fascinating exhibition which really captured everyone's imaginations and retold the story very well. We were all given a boarding card on arrival with details of a passenger and at the end you could check whether or not you survived. Really highlighted the differences in chances between what class you were travelling in and between the men and women. There was even an iceberg at correct temperature for you to touch.

Despite the theme of the exhibit everyone was very excited about doing the return journey on the water.

Lots of great landmarks but I really liked this view of the City.
