I don't think you can really call yourself a parent until you've stood in a car park on a boiling hot day and taught your kids to gargle.

A loafing around day, mainly outdoors with the odd bit of indoors when it all gets a bit hot. Is this really the Easter holidays? Even though I'm generally in the "please can we have a fixed date for Easter" camp, there is something charmingly quirky about not knowing whether your eggs will melt or freeze.

Though this year more spaced out holidays would have made working a little easier. I have managed to sneak in a little today but mainly I'll just have to look back on these fun blips as a reminder that a manic May is worth it.
