Newcastle Downunder

View from the roof

This is a view from the top of the building where I work looking East across Newcastle Harbour. It was another lovely sunset today but that was happening all behind me. In the foreground near the waters edge are the old maritime sheds that have been renovated. The closest one to the left of the white apartment building has been turned into a pub.

This area where the apartments are is part of the Honeysuckle Development. This project has been overseeing the conversion of the old wharves and buildings into office and living space.

In the middle background is Nobbys headland and just to the left of it is an enormous coal ship being escorted in. You can see a bit more of the breakwall on this one.

I promise a morning shot tomorrow unless there is a sea fog again like today! Thanks again for all your encouraging comments.
