Ebony and Ivory

Wednesday 20 April 2011: Ebony and Ivory

Another beautiful day , had brunch in the garden overlooking the loch today, The water was beautiful a slight ripple across the water which sparkled in the sun,

Did a bit of gardening then a short meander down Loch Fyne to Lochgilphead where we went swimming at the community pool. Thought this might be a gentle workout for the sore ankle . Not sure if it really helped the ankle but we did enjoy the swim. After that our meander continued past Ardrishaig and down to Tarbert which always looks amazing in the sun. Lovely reflections of the fishing boats and yachts on the calm waters. Got lots of blips in the bay.

Just beyond the ferry pier we spotted this cormorant and seagull resting on the rocks and only a little way beyond them were some oyster catchers so spoiled for choice tonight as I managed to get down on to the rocks ( not entirely sure the doctor would approve of me going down there as it's not exactly a flat road ) .
Delighted with this shot of the cormorant and the gull. Hope you like it too.
