Morris On!

Happy St George's Day, wherever you are. It's hard to find the English celebrating England's national day, largely because we let the likes of the National Front steal it away from us, though I think we have it back now. If you're English it's your day, no matter what colour or creed you are. The Scots, Welsh and Irish clebrate their saints' days as national days, the French have july 14th, Canadians July 1st, Americans July 4th, the Dutch have Queen's Day so why don't we?
It's also William Shakespeare's birthday (probably) and the day he died (definitely) How much more English can you get? Ok. Rant over.

This is the St Katherine's Morris Side from Irchester. They perform for fun and are made up of males and females, young and not quite as young. Apart from traditional dances, they have made up a few of their own too.
