Another one gone...

When we looked in on our chickens yesterday, one of the hens was looking decidedly unhealthy.....so it was no surprise this morning when we found she had died! That's 2 chicken this month....one to the naughty hound dog and now nature has claimed another....she was probably getting on in years. Anyway, i picked her up and took her out of the hen house, laid her on the old table outside my studio....and the light was catching the feathers in such a beautiful way! So at least this little hen will be recorded here for prosperity...and as a reminder of the ebb and flow of life! Yet another reminder of how fleeting it can and often is!
