Food in Eden

Yes, of course we went to the Eden Project while we were in Cornwall, especially as we were staying less than an hour's drive away.

It was - is - an astonishing undertaking, and I'd like to know where Tim Smit gets his energy and confidence from. We managed to work our way through the two biodomes, and to see the Seed sculpture in the Core, but that was all. The heat in this amphitheatre very quickly rose beyond tolerable for we Scots, and as quickly as it rose, just as rapidly the boys' tolerance and my parents' ability to keep looking plummeted.

The food they provide is very upmarket for such a popular venue, and this even affects the activities on offer: in the Mediterranean dome my younger lad shaped and cooked some dough in a typical domed oven, then ate it with a very Mediterranean sauce.
