The Wisterious House

I've had this in my head over the last two days. Be warned, it's Amitabh Bachchan lipsynching to Kishore Kumar. I think it's great.

Out for a walk today to enjoy the Sunshine - it's seriously hot again - I had me Factor 30 suncream on and was very pleased I did. A very busy day in Town. All the restaurants and bars were busy, it was a very tempting idea just to stop, sit down and enjoy drinking beer for the afternoon but that inevitably leads to a shabby Sunday evening.

Today's Blip is a house on the Taunusstrasse with its rather super wisteria. That's a heck of a plant.

I've been quite encouraged by the reaction to yesterday's cake. I may attempt a Cake Series - an arduous task but one I think I can manage.

On a food related note, I had a taste of one of the regional/seasonal specialities - grüner Soße und Bratkartoffeln (that's green sauce and fried potatoes). I bodyswerved the eggs that are usually served with this on the grounds that I made way too much egg mayonnaise when I worked in a delicatessen and now only refer to eggs as "Hen Farts". I can recommend the green sauce and potatoes though. Blimmen lovely. The sauce is a mix of parsley (called Petersilie here and that makes me smile), tarragon, borage, chives, chervil, cress and sorrel and I believe ours was mixed with quark. I'll be trying that again.
