touring the atlanta-town.

backblip.

sight-seeing day was today!
started off the morning with a general rehearsal for tomorrow's big concert, then got straight into business. our bus broke down the day before, so we had to distribute between the three buses that were left and managed to cram into it; some of us had to stand the entire ride.

nevertheless...
we started off our tour with a visit to stone mountain park, an extremely large park with this mountain looming over it all. it's an awesome place, and the nearby carillon was just as amazing -- and extremely serene.
(disclaimer: the tall black structure in the photo linked above is actually a bell tower that plays during a certain time period on its own! it really adds to the serenity.)

next on the list was the georgia aquarium -- blipped above! it wasn't as extensive as the shedd aquarium in chicago, but the architecture was just amazing; look at how huge these tanks are! crazy stuff.

afterwards was just hanging around downtown atlanta, which also translated to "most of the bandos and orch kids congregate by the olympic park and play five rings with the fountain," hahaha. the majority of us just hung around here the entire time, no joke.

topped off the day with dinner at a restaurant -- seeing as how 250-some needed to eat at once, apparently we rented out the entire place for the night, oh daaaang. ate with a couple that my boyfriend and i were both really close with, had some good laughs and talks, and yeah.

hectic day, but awesome. definitely the highlight of my trip.
