Magnolia Explosion

A marvelous magnolia next door--not a wonderful setting, but a fine set of blossoms nonetheless.

I like the way the tree is rimmed by what the French call vert tendre--the "tender green" of young leaves, which itself comes in different shades.

This blip gives a bit of an idea of the stage spring has reached in Northampton--not very advanced.
