A Much Better Day

We test drove a new car. Well, I say we - what I really mean is that G drove and I tried not to be a pain as a passenger. I don't drive and never will - I just wouldn't enjoy it. The car was a Toyota Auris Hybrid thingy and I quite liked it. I especially liked it when it was in stealth mode or electric - it's weird to be in a car that's making no noise other than the sound of tyres on the road. It felt a bit modern - I'm so used to cars making car noises and this one didn't (although as it was an automatic, it did sound a bit whiny when it accelerated - a bit like someone was being a bit horrid to it).

Also on the agenda was a little walk in the country where I took today's Blip. As far as we can tell it's a (German name coming up) Günsel of some kind. I like the little flowers. Heck i just like plants. It was a nice walk and the occasional little April shower was rather good at freshening up the air.

In other news, there seems to be a bit more activity on the job front - I've had a few phone calls and emails about a good few jobs. This is very encouraging as I was close to being Really Fed Up.

Oh and I thought I could avoid the buggering RW but no, even the cryptic crossword in today's Guardian was in on the act - "24,15 Fancy lad and me tied knot! (4,9)" Which as you have spotted means the solution is an anagram of lad + me + tied + knot. You know - her that married him that has the ears and that. Bless 'em. I wish them all the very best but can we stop hearing about it now.
