A slice of Lesley's life

New addition

The case for the defence: it was a test ride outside the shop, the pavement is really wide, it was very quiet and he was only out there for a few minutes.

Just in case anyone sees this and gets cross about pavement cycling. Which in general I would think is perfectly reasonable. When my kids were toddlers they were twice knocked over by adults cycling on the pavement.

Anyway, to more important and exciting matters. Carl is now the proud owner of his first bike in two decades. He made it home safely and then out for our first family bike ride. Celebrated with lunch in a beer garden and a kickabout in the park.

The afternoon has been considerably less energetic with afternoon naps for us both following a very disturbed night due to a power cut. Could have been worse, apparently some folks got trapped in tube tunnels when there was a cut earlier in the evening in town.

Now to see if this week's Dr Who makes more sense than last weeks.
