Steps to the Cliff Walk, Arduaine Garden, Argyll

A day of archeology and horticulture. We visited Kilmartin and walked the route between the cairns, standing stones and stone circles, even going underground into a burial chamber. We stood in front of this stone, taken last weekend by Lady Findhorn, and climbed Dunadd Hill, the site where the ancient kings of Dalriada were crowned.

We also visited Arduaine, a garden created by the Campbell family over 100 years ago. Beautiful displays of rhododendrons, azaleas, many interconnecting ponds and lots of walks amongst the tall trees. A very peaceful place with beautiful coastal views out to the islands.

Great weather all day, wonderful views, and the light winds kept away the midges.
