Tarn et Garonne

In 1808 Napoleon and Josephine progressed through SW France and the Emperor created a new departement of Tarn et Garonne. Allegedly he placed his fist and thumb on the map and that decreed he shape of the new Department. 200 years later Montgaillard plays a floral tribute - the blue plant is Montauban, the Prefecture, and the pink carnation is Montgaillard. In the autumn every commune was given a tree to plant to mark the anniversary. Montgaillard received an oak.
