Sept 19.

I've been blipping continuously since December 29 2010, with some back blips before that from my time living in SW France.

Life has changed a lot since 2010, well it does, doesn't it?  I became officially (and unwillingly) single.  I moved from a flat to a house. I acquired a cat, Molly (my 6th). Sons moved in, sons moved out.  There was a graduation and the arrival of one, then 2, granddaughters. I went back to work.  I lost a parent.  I stopped working.

I have travelled, a lot.  In the UK mostly to London for work, holidays to Sardinia, Menorca, Spain and France but mainly to SE Asia to visit the family there.

Some things haven't changed.  I still live with Molly and I still love gardening and, but not so much, trying to get fit.  My trusty bridge Canon died and I now have a Lumix and a rediscovered Canon 'point and shoot' camera, but mainly I use my phone.  Lazy!! Really must get back to serious photography!

Blip has brought me friends, a wider outlook on the world and the ability to look back at around 9 years to see how I've changed, how my family and friends have changed and how I have changed.

Dec 20 - the end of an interesting year.  Molly left me in July but then I was joined by Willow in October.  My world, that expanded at that start of the year with time in Malaysia acting as a jumping off point to Thailand, Australia and NZ, has now, like everyone else's shrunk to a 3 km radius and Zoom! No longer working but still very busy with Edinburgh College, Apex and the choir.  Here's to a better 2021!

Oct 2023 - how time flies when you are enjoying yourself.  I've made it out the other end of Covid and life is back to normal.  I'm working, contract work, at present 3 days a week and though no longer Chair of Edinburgh College I chair another 2 charities.  I'm still singing and acting and swimming (pool, not sea). And I'm back travelling - mainly to KL to see the family but also this year to Majorca and France and Crete.  Willow brings me great joy and I have really good neighbours.  The family all seem further away.  Life is full of ups and downs and I'm trying to focus on the ups.
