Two White Ibis were grazing in the grass outside my apartment this morning. They watched for prey, but also cocked their heads and seemed able to hear insects deep in the grass. They poked their very long beaks about three to four inches into the ground and seemed always to come up with a tasty snack. Caught this fellow mid-poke.........
