Rhododendron

The Rhododendron flowers have just come out in the Kurpark which is a bit of a surprise given that they've been out for a while in the City Of Bears and that's a lot higher up. Still, they're very pretty indeed.

Today has been quite fresh for a change - there's a very clean wind blowing through town that's very welcome. Having said that, there were a few times when I thought that I should have worn a coat and then I gave myself a stern talking too - blimmen whinger that I am.

In othe news, I was practising again and had to admit that I had been beaten. Just got to a part of the program where it was all in the Dativ case and I just haven't gotten my head round when something is Dativ. Consequently, I was useless at the exercises. Like embarassingly bad. Goodness only knows where my head will be at when we get round to the Genitiv case. However, I did make up a sentence of my own for when I don't understand someone speaking to me and that made some German friends laugh - Bitte, Ich höre langsam. That means "sorry, I hear slowly".

Not the greatest joke in the world by a long chalk but it makes me happy.

Much like today's song which comes from the film Bluffmaster. Bluffmaster was a remake of Nine Queens (Nueve Reinas if you prefer) and is well worth a look. There are no songs as good as this in the original.
