Election Day

And I spent a large part of it walking around central Edinburgh taking pictures of every one of the polling places in the Edinburgh Central Scottish Parliament constituency. Started of at our polling station having been one of he first to vote and then finished ten hours later at our closest polling place, which for some reason is not the one we use any more. Took a few other pictures as I was on my way round, including this snap of Greyfriars Bobby. It was an interesting exercise, and gave a real flavour of the election. Saw a bit of activity outside some polling places - a few party workers with rosettes, and one recognisable figure - Green politician Robin Harper with his Dr Who-like multi-coloured scarf. And a couple of party stalls (SNP and Green), and a loudspeaker-equipped car (Labour), and several people from various parties out on the streets getting out the vote.
And now, time to settle in for a night of results watching...
