Brand New Information...

I love brand new information and was privy to some of it the other day.

If you drive north across the Forth Road Bridge and continue past Dunfermline on the M90, just before you hit the Kelty turn off, Junction 4 I believe, there is a ruddy big hole in the planet. It's a rather impressive if slightly unsightly, open cast mine that you can see from the motorway.

Normally when these mining operations come to an end, they are filled back in and grass is grown and trees planted to hopefully leave it a state that hides it's previous usage.

Instead of using the funds for doing this post mining landscaping, this mine is getting turned into a huge work of art. They're doing some sort of huge living landscape parkland sort of like the Dean Gallery type of hilling but on a massive scale. They're even planning to create a loch in the shape of Scotland. Check it out here.... Sounds wicked and it's meant to be finished in the not too distant future.

Notes on the Picture...
I love fill in flash photography. Shot into the sun, sky exposed nicely, subject exposed nicely, straight out the camera and straight up to 'tinterweb. Nae faffin'
