Mothering Hands....

What a spectacular Mother's Day this has been! First of all, having one of my wonderful twin daughters, Bronwyn, here with me.....just such a treat to actually have your offspring close by on mother's day!!

The show has been a great success....lots of folks showing up, visiting, buying lots of pots...it makes me so happy to see the smile on their faces, as they came down the stairs from the Bargain Loft, with their treasures....and as such great prices. I get rid of all that stuff that's been hanging around, makes more space for new work to be made!

But the other great thing was that Bronwyn decided she wanted to try her hand at throwing on the wheel! She and her sister Morgan, have dabbled about in the clay room many times, but mostly when they were very young....and now she wanted to give it a try! After a very little amount of coaching she was amazing...she totally got it, has the right amount of steadiness.....she's a natural.....must be genetic eh!!! so that was awesome, she made a few bowls, a couple of mugs and a vase....all very well thrown!!!

near the end of the show, a few good friends showed up, so we got the wine, beer, cheese and crackers out .... and then the ping pong began!!! great fun was had and i decided to be the designated photographer....basically too tired to move....and now we're off to have dinner down in Baddeck!
