Pretty things ain't they?
Out of town again today and working in the garden. Very civilised. Although a couple of the jobs that needed doing weren't - getting the algal bloom out of the pond and taking the pollen off the top of the water in an underground tank.
The pond job was quite fun though, I managed to extract a dragonfly larva. Those things look prehistoric. I'm pretty sure Harryhausen would have used them as baby dragons if he had access to them.
The pollen scooping job was ok too. The water tank is about 2 metres deep and the hole was quite big - there was that whole "you might fall in" thought in my head the whole time. I like the mystery of water underground - who knows what's really in there?
We went for dinner in Zur Sonne and it was great fun as always. Encouragingly we spoke a lot of German and I understood more than a little. I like learning.
Today's song is a classic. It's from Sholay and it fizzes with fun and energy. It is hugely optimistic song and one that chimes with my mood today.
