In his element

Feeling homesick, and taking time off from watching over Christmas cards, Santa decided to take a trip out into the great snowy outdoors.

He had a rare old time cavorting in the crisp, dry snow and the biting, icy sunshine.

I must say, this second batch of snow was much different from what we usually get. Rather than the moist, quick-to-turn-to-slush stuff we usually get, this was nicely crisp and flakey and crunchy. Mind you, that was partly due to the unusually low temperatures which accompanied it.

Nice weather for Santa, perhaps, but lots of layers of clothing were needed for anyone who ventured outside.
