Lunchtime maintenance

I learned a new thing this lunchtime - when Canada geese close their eyes, you can see that they have white eyelids. It's quite a spooky effect. I can't find too much about it on the Internet, except that it's translucent and may allow the good to forage underwater.

Went to a colleague's leaving drinks after work and some old work colleagues joined us. We had a great catch-up/send-off, and the lady who left liked her card (hooray!) I've now got a week off work. Mum's arriving tomorrow for a few days, then I'm going back up with her to spend some time with Cradlehall, my brother and Benny. Should be fun.
