Mixing work and passion

Some people would say never mix your passion with your work... (i dont know who says that... but it does sound like something someone, somewhere says, sitting behind a desk with big glasses, stroking their beard) Anywhooo...

I`m able on a daily basis to mix my passion for football and my passion for photography and make a living out of it... (no i`m not a professional football) However this weekend i get to find out what it feels like. (as i`ll explain further down)

Aside from DAFC, i also do some work with Dunfermline Athletic Supporters Football Club (DASFC) essentially its a team for the supporters of the pars to play in, in a league against supporters teams of other scottish teams.

This weekend we`re off on an international trip!!! Over the border to play Preston`s supporters team, at Prestons official stadium Deepdale. An opportunity that come around once in a life time to not only play in the stadium for the squad, but for myself to work in these environments!! We have been lucky in recent years, that we have a great relationship with the official team, DAFC allowing us to play at out home ground East End Park, aswell as our Arch Rivals, Falkirk, Who incidentally we are playing on sunday at the Falkirk Stadium. So a fun filled weekend to be had.

(now this is where i can explain about feeling like a player) aside from traveling down with the team, and being involved with all the banter, i`ve also been asked to make a cameo appearance at the end of the game! So the boots have been cleaned in anticipation!! To be asked this is such a HUGE honour, not only to play on such a pitch, but more so to play with such a great bunch of guys, who i`ve had many a good night out with, and made a good number of friends from!

Anywho, todays blip specifically, football AND photography... Bliss :)

Craig.
