Prison

This old sign used to belong to Bullwood hall woman's Borstal from the 60's (if any of you have watched the film Scrubber's the outside shots are of Bullwood), the sign now is in my grubby little hands, after retrieving it from my loft........... The sign came down like a hatch on a door way, and the medication was dispensed on top of it, If you note the word for a inmate was then Trainee.....the surgery, was in the hospital wing, where all the medication was dispensed and was a popular place for mularky . Being put on report, meant they had to go in front of a prison governor for what ever charge they had been accused of, they could loose privileges or even time added onto their sentence if the charge was serious enough. Hubbie worked in the Hospital wing, dealing with disturbed or mentally ill inmates, not in the 60's but in the early 90's and when they revamped the hospital wing, this was no longer wanted, and hubbie asked for this piece of history........ the Borstal changed into a woman's prison, and only relatively recently changed into a men's prison.......

I actually met hubbie across the bars at bullwood, lol, we met, and fell in Love, and no i was not a inmate, i was teaching there..........the rest is history
