Tranquility Lost

I was travelling to Scotland up the East Coast Mainline to visit my parents this morning and was revelling in the fact that the train was reasonably quiet and that the journey was relatively enjoyable.

At Darlington, my general air of tranquility was lost in an instant as a group of ladies got on, each carrying one of these bags. You just know that the tranquil journey has just ended as, although the ladies were very respectable in all other respects, a few glasses of champagne later they were very, VERY LOUD!!!!

Anyway, congratulations Becky (whoever you are) on your forthcoming marriage and hope that your weekend in Edinburgh was enjoyable.
