The Daily Bun

Today we celebrated the Civil Partnership of our good friends Jill and Sally. It was the most wonderful day - my enduring memories of the day will be as a happy and colourful one. As we arrived in the city for the ceremony, we were greeted by the spectacle of literally hundreds of Morris Dancers, many as we expect Morris Dancers to look, others with the most stunning painted faces and dramatic costumes. Spectacular! Then after this, there was the chaotic colour of the mingling wedding parties in the Town Hall - from our own to more traditionally garbed, to a party in African dress. A feast for the eyes! Then on to Jill and Sally's for the party. As well as the colourfully clad guests and the wonderful spread of food, there was the glorious riot of colour that is their wonderful house and garden. As you can imagine, there were lots of clicking cameras throughout the day. I have the spectacle firmly fixed in my memory, so I decided to blip something simple and slightly whimsical that caught my eye in the garden - and of course, I can't resist anything bird-related!
Congratulations, Jill and Sally! It was wonderful to see you both looking so happy, and thank you for inviting us to join you in your celebrations!
