Stress Management

A little background music to accompany the viewing of this moment of extreme coping as my husband, who has given a little more of his time and energy to the noblest of causes than he had planned, which resulted in a certain inability to keep up with the mowing, ran around the property on the riding mower, looking a bit like a crazed lawn gnome.

Truly, this to escape our cockatoo, Ms. Gracie, who would not give the screeching a moment of rest while we tried to simply have a peaceful conversation in the same room with her. Do they make "His and Hers" mowers? We could race them, because I'm sure bumper mowers would be a terribly bad idea. There's a good idea for a yard game...do they make a home version of bumper cars? You could stress reduce with them, sort of like we used the Bozo punching bags back in the 70's.

My dad used to say he was going out to "mow the forest" which meant clearing brush and taking out trees that didn't belong. As I child, I always viewed this as his fatherly duty. Today...not so sure.

If you've missed yesterday's blip it's a little more peaceful and serene...
