Buckley Hughes World

Bryan's a good gardener

So, after a very successful night in Brrenda the bongo we took a detour on the way home to have a look at Bryan's Ground. It's a private garden in deepest Herefordshire that participates in the National Garden Scheme Open Gardens thingy, and this weekend was their open weekend.

As you can see, hopefully, the irises are absolutely superb, set against the curved canal and with the backdrop of the old house (you can't see that so much here, but it's a beautiful yellow and timbered house from the 17th century at a guess. I'll google for more info)

Anyway, if you're in the vicinity of Shobdon or Presteigne I'd most highly recommend a visit.
