Milestones

This is the littlest Grant. This week the littlest Grant (LG) has passed a number of milestones.

LG now recognises that horses and donkeys are NOT cows. You would think this would be evidenced by the fact that he says 'Horse' or 'Donkey' or even by making the sounds, but noooo. LG differentiates horses and donkeys from cows by saying, 'Not cow!'

LG can count to four. He even recognises when there is one, two, three or four of something. This goes some way towards mollifying me about the 'Not cow' horses and I can console myself that he's not as dim as we originally thought ;-)

LG can now build a thirteen brick tower as tall as himself...and very proud of this fact he is too. This is evidenced by the fact that everything we own is now stacked into neat piles of between six and thirteen items: stacked items include books, tupperware, assorted cosmetics pots and toy cars! The whole house is littered with towers. It's like living with a termite.

LG also lines everything up: gym mats at H's gymnastic class, cars, spoons, peas...you name it, if it isn't stacked up it's lined up. I appear to have bred a child with OCD.

LG has discovered the delights of drawing, and I have discovered the delights of a toddler who sees every surface as a canvas. H NEVER drew on the walls...not once. LG on the other hand sees a blank surface and is completely overcome with the urge to fill it with scrawls...I mean 'art'.

So this blip is dedicated to Noodles, the littlest Grant. Looking here as though butter would not melt in his mouth :-)
